The "Bayfront Express" As the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) celebrates two decades of providing safe, dependable and efficient transportation in Corpus Christi and the surrounding service area, the agency provides an expanded level of service intended to reduce traffic congestion associated with large events at the American Bank Arena. The “Bayfront Express” will transport people from various park-and-ride lots to and from the front doors of the American Bank Center Dedicated bus lanes on will be used to provide frequent and uninterrupted bus service. The “Bayfront Express” will begin approximately 1-1/2 hours before the beginning of selected major events. The Corpus Christi Police Department will assist in making sure priority is given to the “Bayfront Express” service.
