Ride the B to Vote

CorpusChristi Regional Transportation Authority, CCRTA, announces fare-free “Ride the B to Vote” on Election Day,Tuesday, November 6, 2018. No proof of voter registration or destination is required to ride free on November 6th, 2018.

The complimentary rides will be available on all CCRTA’s services; fixed routes, ADA services, Express routes, and includes on demand taxi service provided by REAL and Paisano. Below is a link to voting poll locations and the services available to reach your destination.

If a customer is unable to use fixed route bus service, CCRTA will provide ADA services through our B-Line Paratransit provider. Call 361-903-3596 to schedule an ADA ride. ADA services going to a polling station will be available up until one hour prior to a poll’s closing on Election Day. However, return trips are available after the close of polling stations.

Please note that wait times may vary on the ADA services. Your patience and consideration is greatly appreciated as we strive to provide the communities we service, the opportunity to vote.

Will CCRTA provide free rides on Election Day, November 6, 2018?
Yes, all bus services will offer free rides on November 6, 2018.

How do I get a free ride to a voting poll if I am in a wheel chair?
All buses are wheel chair accessible. However, if a rider is unable to get to a bus stop please call (361)903-3596 to schedule a ride.

Will I need voter identification or proof of registration to ride the bus for free?
No, CCRTA will not request proof of voter registration or destination to ride free on Election Day.

How do I schedule a bus for my mom who has disabilities?
Contact CCRTA at (361)-903-3596 to schedule a shared ride on our ADA shuttle. Please note we are accommodating multiple riders to the polls and wait times could vary (up to an hour). We will make every effort to pick up riders in a timely manner.

Will the ADA shuttle bus pick me up from the polling location after I vote?
Yes, once you have completed voting call (361)903-3596 to schedule a pickup. Please be patient as we will be accommodating multiple riders and it is a shared ride service. During peak times, it could take up to 2 hours before the bus arrives to pick riders. We will make every effort to pick up riders in a timely manner.
