Carol Burrola is a Special Agent
assigned to Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Corpus Christi Office, where
Ms. Burrola serves on a multidisciplinary investigative team responsible for
conducting investigations involving human trafficking, narcotics trafficking,
financial crimes, and counterproliferation throughout the Coastal Bend region.
With nearly nine years of combined
experience in federal law enforcement and the nonprofit sector, Ms. Burrola has
developed extensive knowledge of the complexities surrounding human trafficking
and the needs of survivors. Throughout this career, Ms. Burrola has worked
directly with victims of labor and sex trafficking, helping connect them with
critical resources while supporting investigations that hold traffickers
accountable. This unique combination of investigative expertise and victim
advocacy provides a well-rounded perspective on combating human trafficking
through collaboration, education, and effective enforcement.
