Students PreK-12

Free bus rides for all students pre-K through 12th grade

How It Works

Just Show Your Student ID

To take advantage of this opportunity, students in pre-K through 12th grade need to present their valid student IDs to the bus operator when boarding the bus. It’s that simple!

What if my student doesn’t have a student ID?

If your student doesn’t possess a student ID but wishes to use one for bus rides, please reach out to your school’s administration for information on how to obtain one.

Safety and Security

Riding the bus is one of the safest ways to travel. CCRTA has a police and security presence at transfer stations, on buses, and throughout our system. Our safety and security efforts have earned the recognition of the American Public Transportation Association for three consecutive years.

Superior Safety

Our buses adhere to the highest safety standards. They undergo weekly maintenance, and we have a range of safety and security measures to guarantee the safe and secure transportation of your child.

Award-Winning Security

We have received national awards for bus security 3 years in a row for our human trafficking awareness, active shooter training, emergency responses, and police presence and use of K-9 units.

Purpose

CCRTA strives to reduce transportation as a barrier for students within our system. Our buses are safe, reliable, and accessible.

Riding the bus encourages independence and life skills, promotes good health, and reduces our community’s collective carbon footprint.
